Alruwais and Maharat Construction Training Centre Forge a Transformative Partnership at IKTVA 2025

Alruwais and Maharat Construction Training Centre Forge a Transformative Partnership at IKTVA 2025

Wednesday, 1 January 2025

To enhance workforce capabilities in Saudi Arabia’s construction sector, Alruwais is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maharat Construction Training Centre (MCTC) during the In Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) 2025 Forum. This partnership reaffirms our commitment to empowering local talent and driving sustainable development.

Over the next year, 68 sponsored Saudi trainees will receive intensive training at MCTC’s advanced facility in Nairyah. Conducted five days a week, the program covers key disciplines such as welding, electrical work, pipelining, instrumentation, safety officer preparation, and scaffolding. Trainees will also develop critical skills in safety awareness, discipline, and workplace behaviors. This initiative supports Saudization, reduces unemployment, and ensures a skilled local workforce to meet industry demands, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s broader development goals.

President & CEO of Alruwais, Samer Abdul Samad commented, “Through this agreement with Maharat Construction Training Centre, we are delivering on our commitment to provide advanced and industry-relevant training that not only meets current needs but also creates new opportunities. By advancing the construction industry and promoting socio-economic progress, this collaboration will enhance our workforce capabilities, foster innovation, and create long-term opportunities, benefiting both our company’s growth and the broader community.”

This initiative exemplifies Alruwais leadership in workforce development. It addresses immediate labor market needs, supports Saudization, and contributes to the creation of a resilient, knowledge-based economy. By combining MCTC’s expertise in vocational training with Alruwais industry leadership, this partnership strengthens Saudi Arabia’s construction sector and aligns with the Kingdom’s long-term development goals.
